The Year in Review--Middle Grade Reads

I thought I'd ring in the new year with one of my favorite end of year traditions--the BEST OF lists! I spend all year choosing middle grade books for our 5th grade book club. These are my top 5 favorites. Some made it onto our reading list for the fall, others you'll see in the spring. They range from powerful and moving to fun and adventuresome. Some are all of the above. And each one is totally worthwhile and watch out--potentially life-changing.
